Oxidized Bitumen 95/25

Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 is a Blown bitumen grade has technical advantages such as durability, flexibility, water-resistant and chemical stability. This grade also has a relatively low softening point, which allows it to remain flexible and resistant to cracking even in extreme temperatures. Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 has a high softening point and, a high flash point and it is highly stable during melting.

Applications of Oxidized Bitumen 95/25

Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 widely used across various industries due to its excellent waterproofing, adhesive, and anti-corrosive properties. It is commonly applied in roofing, road construction, and waterproofing works for buildings, bridges, and tunnels. In the construction industry, it serves as a protective and bonding material in roofing felts, flooring, and insulation products. It is also used in the electrical industry for cable coatings and joint compounds because of its strong insulating characteristics. Additionally, Oxidized Bitumen is employed as a corrosion-resistant coating for metal pipes, steel structures, and marine installations, as well as in the manufacture of paints, mastics, and sealants.

Properties

The different grades such as this garde or Oxidized Bitumen 115/15 for suited applications produced are designated by two numbers to indicate the mid-points of their softening point and penetration ranges. The softening point value measured by Ring and Ball method as determined by ASTM D36. Also, the penetration value is in 1/10 mm as determined by IP49 or ASTM- D5.

Common Questions

What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for Bitumen 95/25?2025-08-06T08:33:10+00:00

The minimum order quantity (MOQ) for Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 is typically 1 container (approximately 20-25 metric tons), depending on the grade, packaging type, and destination port.

How is Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 different from Penetration Grade Bitumen?2025-08-06T08:31:19+00:00

Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 is produced by blowing air through penetration grade bitumen at high temperatures, which changes its physical structure and makes it harder, more brittle, and less temperature-sensitive. But penetration grade bitumen (such as 60/70 or 80/100), oxidized bitumen has a higher softening point and lower penetration value, meaning it’s more suitable for applications requiring dimensional stability under heat.

What is Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 used for?2025-08-06T08:23:44+00:00

Oxidized Bitumen 95/25 is widely used in industrial applications that require a hard bitumen with a high softening point and low penetration.
